Goodbye 2010

It's hard to believe that in a little less than 12 hours, we will be saying goodbye to 2010 and hello 2011. This year has brought a lot of changes to our family. Some changes have been absolutely wonderful and others not so much. I think about the highlights of the year...wonderful beach vacations, being able to work part time, watching Caroline continue to grow into a little girl, several trips to the zoo, the apple orchard and the list could continue. I am thankful for our marriage, our beautiful baby girl and most of all, the gift of Jesus. I am excited to see what 2011 will bring to our family!

Feeding her baby!

Caroline decided to take her baby to bed with her while she napped. When I went in to get her up, she was laying in her crib feeding her baby. Precious!!

Random photo...we each recieved our very own Tervis tumbler for Christmas! Can't wait to use them for tailgating!!! :0)

Just the two of us!

Andy thought it would be a good idea to open gifts together, just the two of us. So we actually opened our gifts to each other tonight. Not sure if I am 100% sold on the idea, so we will have to see what next year looks like. However, it was nice to be able to have a quiet evening and take our time opening our gifts. We set a limit on what we spend on each other. So we have to really bargain shop in order to get the most for our money.

Mine

Yeah, always need some new socks!

SUPRISE!
Andy wanted a small propane grill for tailgating. I knew that if I wrapped it, he would know right away what it was. So I printed a picture off the internet and placed it in his stocking. He was so suprised when he opened "the card."

Christmas Eve fun with family

Christmas Eve is our busiest day celebrating Christmas. We headed to my mom's for the morning/early afternoon. My family gathered for a light lunch/appetizers. YUMMY! The kids always enjoy playing together and it's fun to sit back and watch them enjoy each other... It was extra special because my best friend since 4k, Heather, and her hubby stopped by to visit. They live on the opposite coast these days so it's always a special treat to get to visit with them. They have a little boy about Caroline's age and a brand new baby girl!! And to make the visit even more special, she made me MY VERY OWN PECAN PIE!!! My fav! We had to head out early to get back for our Christmas Eve service at Church.

I sure do hope these two enjoy a great friendship like their mommies do.

Caroline loves Jenna! Jenna is a great babysitter!!!

We had a wonderful time at Church, it was a great reminder of what we really see in every day life and the birth of Jesus. Great message...everybody sees something different when it comes to Christmas. What do you see when you see baby Jesus in a manger? What do you see when you look to Jesus now?

After church, we gathered with Andy's family to celebrate. We changed things up this year, we had breakfast for Christmas Eve dinner. It was yummy!!! When we exchanged gifts, we went around the room, allowing one person at a time to open their gift. It was fun to actually see what everyone got and to see the excitement on their faces.

We got home before too late and little miss was out! She did great today! She got up around 7, took a one hour nap on the way home from GG's and didn't get to sleep until around 8:30 tonight. She was such a trooper. Hope she gets a good nights rest and is excited to see what Santa brought!
