Country Sunset
Tonight we are spending the night with my momma. I was grabbing something out of the van when I happened to see this gorgeous sunset! In an instant I was taken back to my childhood...sunsets like this were the norm...every night. I had forgotten just how gorgeous sunsets are in the big open country sky. So thankful for this gift tonight!!

Friday Night Fun
Tonight we met my mom for dinner at McDonald's. We are heading out on the lake tomorrow and didn't think Maggie would be able to hang the entire day. So my mom offered to keep her for us! Maggie was SO excited to see Granny! Of course dinner wouldn't be complete without ice cream for dessert. :-)

VBS 2016
We had a fabulous week at VBS this week! After watching Caroline participate in the preschool part of VBS it's so fun to watch her now as a tribe member. This year a missions component was added. Each day the children learned about and supported one of the missions of the church. LOVED IT!! So thankful for each and every person who participated in some way to make VBS a huge success!!

Just another day with Mags
Maggie is always up to some sort of adventure!! Yesterday I found her drinking her milk and looking out the window...these shoes won't buckle but they are her favorite. Poor think her foot barely fits inside them. :-) Later in the day, she was quiet and I went looking for her. I found her on her stool, in her closet, taking clothes off the hangers...good thing this girly is cute!!

Our Presbyterian Babies
Today we got our Presbyterian Babies together. (For those that don't remember, we had 5 babies born within 10 days of each other.) Sadly one of our friends moved away so she wasn't able to attend. Maggie is now the only girl among this group. However, based on her personality thus far, I feel certain she will be able to handle "the boys."
Lunch with Sorority SIsters
Today I got to see a sorority sister, meet her girls and introduce my girls to her. Amber, a member of my ADPi family, and her husband Matt along with their girls Genevieve and McKenzie currently live in Colorado. They took a two month vacation and headed across the country. We were so excited to schedule a visit/lunch today to see each other and allow our girls to meet. Life sure has changed a lot in the last 15 years but good friends always easily reconnect. Let's hope it won't be this long before we see each other again!

Champs!!
It's hard to believe another swim season has come and gone so quickly!! It's been a lot of fun to watch Caroline grow as a swimmer this year!! She added breast and butterfly to her list of things she can do! Those two aren't very easy but she is so excited to swim things the big girls know how to swim! This swim season was a challenge. She was the youngest of her age group...she was going against swimmers who were her age as well as a year older. Her greatest accomplishment from this meet was winning overall in her 50 freestyle...she competed against 18 girls and one first place!! Woo hoo!
Sweet Maggie supporting the FCC Fins! They were all so sweet to her! She loved the attention!!
Our 2016 Swim Team
We were small in numbers but big in sportsmanship! Everyone was encouraging to everyone else on the team. Pretty sure they watched, cheered and encouraged each other on every single race!! Thankful for this group!
Our team rocked the 13/14 age group!! 3 out of the 5 winners were from FCC Fins!

Fort with Friends
Today we had several friends over for a fun afternoon. It is crazy hot here these days so I told the kids instead of heading outside we would watch a movie. I was attempting to clean the house in the process and was currently working on mopping the kitchen floor. The kids decided to use the chairs to make a fort to watch their movie. So much fun!!! Thanks Tyler, Nori and Catherine for spending the afternoon with us!

More Sister Fun
I feel like the girls are just settling into summer...they spent the first few weeks fighting like cats and dogs. :0) But now, now they are having fun getting into all sorts of fun together.
Caroline called me into her room and said "Hey Mom, I found a way to keep Maggie from messing up my room while I am cleaning...I made her a bed with a pillow!" As you can tell, Maggie loved it!
I was cooking dinner...when I came into the den, these two had built a fort and were watching TV. So much fun!! Caroline loevs that Maggie will actually sit still for a TV show now.

Emma's Allstar Game
My neice Emma made the Allstart team for her town. Today they were playing less than 5 miles from my house. Caroline and I headed out to watch. It was SO HOT but SO MUCH fun to watch. Brought back sweet memories of my days of playing softball! Sadly they didn't win but I think they had a great time! :0)

Family Reunion 2016
Today we had our annual get together with my dad's family. My brother Daniel and Claire hosted us once again. It was a HOT day but we had a wonderful time! So fun to have everyone together! The cousins only see each other once a year but they always have a wonderful time! We spent a lot of time in the river. The kids got in before lunch and the adults joined the kids after lunch. Fun times were had by all!
Aunt Lill, Uncle Louis, Aunt Etoile
Maggie LOVED jumping off the dock!
Caroline was a natural on the paddleboard!!!!
This view gives you a good idea of how far Daniel and Claire's house is from the river. The yellow line on the picture shows how HIGH the river got when the flood came in October. So thankful to be able to celebrate with them in their home.
Successful day...both girls were asleep less than 20 minutes after we left. They came home long enough to take a bath and were right back asleep!
