Day 3 Friends Day

Today was Friends Day.  Everyone invited friends for the day.  This may have been one of our smallest years yet.  We had about 5 families join us which was great.  It was a warm day by the pool but a perfect breezy beach day.  We spent a good 5 hours on the beach or by the pool.  Needless to say I am tired tonight!  I don't think any of us will have trouble sleeping tonight. :-)

We love the yard this house offers.  The kids enjoy playing outside while we are here.  It's nice that Caroline is at an age where I don't have to worry.
This little monkey is quite the squealer...it's hard to keep her quiet while everyone else is sleeping.
Maggie is enjoying the beach more and more every day!
These two have played their little hearts out!!
 Look at that face...rotten!!

 lunch by the pool

Click on this picture...Caroline found this crazy dried fish...she was a happy girl
perfect day to fly a kite
love this picture of my sweet loves...so very thankful for the relationship that they share...
Mema's first adventure to the beach this trip
Peep bought the girls matching outfits.  A friend gave Maggie a dress that is almost a perfect match color wise.  This was the best that I could get with 4 little ones...gotta love it!

Vacation Day 2

So thankful to wake up this morning already here, unpacked and ready for vacation to officially start!  It was a gorgeous morning.  Yesterday when we finished unloading my car we realized that I had a flat tire.  Poor Andy spent this morning at the dealership getting the tire fixed.  The girls and I hung around here with the family.  We made it to the beach around lunch time and stayed until late in the afternoon.  Maggie wasn't too sure about the beach at first but it didn't take long for her to begin to enjoy it!!!!
Rocking on the porch with Peep

Caroline and Jack checking things out down at the dock
Caroline wanted to take a picture with her sissy in their matching bathing suits...Maggie wasn't interested in looking up. :-)
Caroline and Ansley enjoying the sand
Shortly after lunch Maggie gave it up and fell asleep in her daddy's arms.

Loving pool time

Andy and Connie make a great team!  Our Low Country Boil was delishous!!
The kids are enjoying our location again this year with riding bikes and playing outside
We got to celebrate Tomi Jeans 29th birthday today!!

These ladies got 2, yes TWO, puzzles together while Greg, Christine and I went for a walk...
I am pretty tired and look forward to getting to bed soon.  Nite Nite

Vacation-Day 1

Well it's that time of the year again and we are so excited to be back!  Today was a little crazy getting here but we are here and so thankful!  It was a gorgeous afternoon!  Sadly we didn't make it to the beach until after Maggie went down for the evening.

Caroline couldn't wait to get on the beach!

Love this sweet family!

And I LOVE this sweet girl too!!
We were so excited to see the beach had been refurbished.  Last year when we were here there wasn't any beach...literally even at low tide it was hitting the sea wall.  This year we have lots and lots of beach...Can't wait t o spend lots of time on it tomorrow!

Last day of Kindergarten...snif snif and terrific kid

Somehow 180 school days have flown by.  I feel pretty sure it was just yesterday that Andy and I drove up to the big old school and walked our girl in for the first time.  A friend looked at me with tears in my eyes and said "Are you ok?  She's gonna be fine."  My response "No I am not ok."  Well somehow we managed to walk away that morning, tears streaming and by God's grace Caroline made it through a wonderful school year.  We have watched our girl blossom in so many ways.  We are thankful for the ladies who loved her and taught her so much this year.  I can't believe I officially have a first grader!  WOW! :-)
 Being silly!
To make today even more special, Caroline was chosen as a terrific kid for her classroom.  We celebrated her last day with an awards ceremony!  We are super proud!  We think she's pretty terrific!!

Thankful for a fantastic 2014-2015 school year!  Now let summer vacation begin!!!!!

47 weeks

Caroline and I seriously took about 50 pictures to get one where she was actually looking at the camera!  Good night, it's hard work! :-)

A few highlights in addition to picture highlights:

  1. Maggie is now eating strawberries and LOVES them!
  2. She has a tooth on the bottom that has officially cut through.

Maggie continues to love to "read" books

She went on her first wagon ride this past weekend!!  She loves it and it is quite the work out for this momma!  Caroline thought she needed to go with her in case she got scared!
We improved baby jail...we added two more panels to make it an even square.

Our garden

My sweet Momma planted lots of garden items from seed this year. She felt the need to share and thought Caroline would be excited to get her garden again this year.  SO Saturday morning, Momma and Caroline started working in the garden.  They spent about 2 hours getting it ready for the plants.  Caroline had a ball!

We've got squash, zucchini, cucumbers and tomatoes.  Lord knows if they all make it, we will have an abundance!
Momma told Caroline to be sure to water it every morning and every afternoon!
